I provide strategic content analysis and refinement for small businesses that help people through the services they provide.
That said, I don’t just write content.
I get to know you, your business, and your clients, so I can align your messaging with your ability to provide services that make a positive impact in the world.
A lot goes into my process.
There’s a fair bit of Q & A involved. We dig into ideal client avatars, the purpose of your business and your story – what compelled you to start offering your services in the first place.
Psst! The sharing of your story plays a HUGE role in your ability to connect with the people you want to work with.
I believe that business copy needs to be about more than making sales.
The primary objective must be to create a connection with your reader. You do this by ensuring your content emulates your passion for helping others and your ability to do what you do well, not your craving for cash money.
There is no shame in wanting to make money, it just can’t be the sole reason you’re providing the services you provide.
People can smell your intentions a mile away, particularly through your web copy, so make sure they smell good!
A huge part of my process involves not working on your content.

If you’ve got a super tight deadline I’m not your gal.
Creativity doesn’t dig tight deadlines. I need time to create great content, and you won’t get the best out of me when you needed it done yesterday.
I am not a copy editor.
My area of expertise is transforming your copy into impactful messaging. I do that by focusing on creating connection-centric content, not getting jacked up about where you’ve placed a comma.
While I pay close attention to spelling and grammar by default (my analytical eyes are quick to notice errors in other people’s writing), my primary concern is ensuring your copy is capable of connecting you with your ideal clients.
A note about comma usage: Think continuity. If you’re using an Oxford comma, use it throughout your copy. And if you forget to use it in one spot don’t sweat it and remember…

OK, I dig what you’re saying and want to work with you! Now what?
Order a content package. Want to chat before you place an order? Email me with details about your content requirements and I’ll respond within 48 business hours.
I like working together over email. But if you’re more a phone, Facetime, Skype or Zoom person, that works too. We can even meet in person if you live in the Nanaimo or Victoria, BC area.
After you share some of your writing requirements with me I’ll take some time to think about how to best help you.
I’ll follow up with any questions and use the answers you provide to create a content plan and an estimate for my services (if you’re wanting hourly rates as opposed to packages.)
Once you’re happy with the content plan and we agree on a deadline, I send you an invoice. Once you’ve paid the invoice I begin my process.
Some good-to-know stuff about working with me:
- I work Monday to Friday, 9 am – 4 pm.
- As of January 13th, 2020, there is a 10-day wait for new clients.
